Questions people ask
Is the first song really free?
Yes, your first song is free to preview. Each account gets 1 free song with up to 2 versions, each playing a 45-second preview. Previews cannot be downloaded, and we never add a watermark or lower the audio quality.
Can I make a song that is not about a person, or use my own lyrics?
Yes. Pick "About anything" to describe a story, a place or a feeling, or "I already have lyrics" to paste your own words and hear them sung. Pasted lyrics are checked, and copied lyrics from other artists are blocked.
How much does a full song cost?
Packs: 1 song for $14.99, 3 songs for $29.99, 8 songs for $59.00. One credit unlocks one full song. There is no subscription.
Can I download the song and keep it?
Yes, once you unlock it. An unlocked song plays in full, downloads as an MP3 as often as you like, and stays in your account. Songs you never unlock are deleted after 30 days.
Can I use the song commercially?
No promise is made for commercial use. Songs are meant for personal gifts and sharing, so do not rely on them for ads, resale or streaming releases.
Will the name be pronounced correctly?
Usually, if you add a pronunciation. Type the sound next to the spelling, for example Siobhan → Shiv-awn, and we sing that version. Very unusual names can still come out wrong, so listen to the preview first.
What AI makes the song, and does it copy real singers?
Songs are made with AI using Refrain, our song engine. The lyrics are written by a large language model and the music and vocals are AI-generated, and we instruct them not to imitate any real singer.
What happens if a song fails to generate?
You lose nothing. A failed render doesn't count toward your free versions or revisions, and you can try again at no cost.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, for songs you have not used, within 30 days of purchase. A song counts as used once you download it or someone else opens its gift page. One request covers one order.
Do I need an account, and who can hear my song?
You sign in with Google to write or hear your own songs. Only you can see your songs. A gift page is open to anyone with its link, or only to you if set to private.
